Canada has encryption problems too

David McGrath writes "All you Americans getting ready to pack your bags over the H.R. 3048/ H.R. 2281 madness should be aware that Canada's being constipated in regards to encryption, too. The government's not only thinking about setting up key recovery, but banning all encryption programs that don't provide keys to police groups. And the even better news is the government's only about four months away from doing so. You can read about it in an old article from The Ottawa Citizen website, or, more generally, at Electronic Frontier Canada. "
