itwbennett writes "Antivirus firm Sophos acquired a passel of USB sticks lost by commuters on trains in the Greater Sydney metro area at an auction organized by the Rail Corporation New South Wales. The company analyzed 50 USB sticks and found that not a single one was encrypted and 33 of them were infected with at least one type of malware."

  • Tend to agree with the title, didn't need to read the article.

    I as I'm sure most have autoruns disabled, even on my HDTV.

    Three times people have asked for copies of programs to be put on their
    USB Pen drives. Two times a scan found worms, as expected because
    computers to them were something they used, not understood.

    I'd made a directory and move the worms to that directory just in case they
    complained of me deleting any files. Then told them what was in there.
