  • Don't complain about lack of options. You've got to pick a few when you do multiple choice. Those are the breaks.
  • Feel free to suggest poll ideas if you're feeling creative. I'd strongly suggest reading the past polls first.
  • This whole thing is wildly inaccurate. Rounding errors, ballot stuffers, dynamic IPs, firewalls. If you're using these numbers to do anything important, you're insane.

Beyond healthcare there are things like insurance (travel, life, disability, injury, etc), vacation time, sabbaticals, free food, guaranteed lack of overtime, gym memberships, transit passes, housing, parental or maternity payment top-ups, free massages, and a whole host of other things that companies use to attract and retain the specific employees they want. Benefits is a large category, it goes way beyond healthcare.

When your wife is making 100K, you can't say its not about the money. You already have the money.

Had to reply to this. If you are in the IT industry don't believe a word of this OMG unemployment is skyrocketing nonsense. It's not. Unemployment in any IT related field is between 2 and 4 percent, depending on the state. I know this, i hated my job, and found 5 offers waiting on the table when looking for (and finding) a change at the cliff of the recession. Don't use the economy as a crutch. There are awesome jobs out there, jobs that pay great, offer great benefits, great commutes, and the opportunity to work with great people. Don't let 'the man' tell you that you are fucked.

It's time to boot, do your boot ROMs know where your disk controllers are?
